Sleight School Community Guidelines
Welcome to Sleight School, an online membership community for magicians and sleight of hand enthusiasts. Our community is built on a foundation of respect, kindness, and inclusivity to ensure that everyone feels welcome and valued. To ensure that everyone can enjoy their experience, please adhere to the following community guidelines:
Expectations for all community members
1. Anti-Intolerance: Sleight School is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all members, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, disability, or immigration status. We will not tolerate any form of dehumanizing or unlawful treatment of others, including but not limited to cyberbullying, cyber-harassment, hate speech, or threats.
2. Be kind and respectful: As members of Sleight School, we value belonging and collaboration over divisiveness and conflict. Please refrain from engaging in mean-spirited or offensive behavior, including name-calling or making disrespectful comments. Disagreement is natural, but we should aim to resolve conflicts and differences constructively and respectfully.
3. Don't promote, solicit, or spam: We are a community of magicians and sleight of hand enthusiasts. While we encourage open discussion and sharing of ideas, please refrain from promoting products or services unrelated to Sleight School or spamming other members. We reserve the right to remove any comments or statements that we or our systems identify as promotions, solicitations, or spam.
4. Keep discussions relevant and reasonable: Sleight School is a community built around magic and sleight of hand, and we welcome discussions that support this purpose. While we encourage freedom of expression, please keep discussions relevant and reasonable. Unrelated or irrelevant content may be removed from the platform.
5. Respect the privacy of others: As a private online community, we respect the privacy of our members. Please do not share non-public personal information or use our platform for doxing, extortion, harassment, or spreading false and disparaging rumors about others.
Consequences of violating the code of conduct
At Sleight School, we take the code of conduct seriously, and any violations may result in consequences including, but not limited to, warnings, temporary bans or permanent bans. Violations of our anti-intolerance guidelines are most likely to result in a permanent ban.
If you believe someone has violated our code of conduct or have any questions, comments or concerns, please email dave@sleight.school.
